Full-time Sales Professional

The primary responsibility of a Full-time Sales Professional is to provide outstanding customer service to all clients, advising them on jewelry, watch, and gift selections. In addition, responsibilities include assisting with inventory control, store maintenance, and becoming proficient in all store systems.

The Mohegan Sun store is open seven days a week, so this position requires rotating night and weekend shifts.

The West Hartford Store schedule for this position is 8:30 am - 5:15 pm with Sundays off and one additional day off during the week. Sundays and slightly longer hours are only scheduled between Thanksgiving and Christmas.

New position opened for the Wellesley store as of January 7th, 2025. The store's normal schedule is Tuesday to Saturday with the store closed on Sundays and Mondays.


MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES/ACTIVITIES:
  • Collaborate with store management and all team members to foster a culture of hospitality throughout the store.
  • Develop strong client relationships to meet and exceed monthly sales goals. Practice suggestive selling and offer all customers add-on items to drive multiple unit sales.
  • Embrace and apply Lux Bond & Green’s core values of Customer Service, Teamwork, Communication, Confidentiality, Respect, and Integrity in every interaction with clients, co-workers, and vendors.
  • Proactively find ways to enhance the customer experience by engaging customers in polite conversation to anticipate their needs and taking action with positive energy, enthusiasm, and warmth.
  • Complete all sales and service documentation and related responsibilities including gift-wrapping, shipping, special orders, and thank you notes in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Cultivate relationships with new and existing customers by providing exceptional customer service. Regularly reach out to and engage potential clients through networking, community events, etc. Utilize company systems to maintain all client information and contact clients on a regular basis using email, texts, event invitations, etc.
  • Embrace the use of multiple forms of technology, including regular use of Podium to communicate with clients, obtain customer reviews, and accept payments.
  • Develop strong knowledge of all store products and services and use this knowledge to personalize the shopping experience to suit each client’s preferences.
  • Handle client inquiries, concerns, and feedback with professionalism and empathy, ensuring any issues are resolved efficiently and to the client’s satisfaction.
  • Assist with social media updates for the store by submitting photos and creating videos for Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok.
  • Understand and properly execute all systems and procedures to ensure quick and efficient transactions, including capturing client data.
  • Store Maintenance: Keep merchandise displays fresh, exciting, properly stocked, and presented in an organized and attractive fashion. Ensure the store is outstanding in its appearance and cleanliness by assisting with daily cleaning of giftware and jewelry areas (e.g., no fingerprints on cases or merchandise), vacuuming, and overall housekeeping of the store (trash removal, dusting, etc.) as well as assisting with the upkeep and cleaning of bathrooms and the lunchroom.
  • Security: Ensure all security procedures are followed daily, such as maintaining proper coverage on the sales floor, showing one piece of merchandise at a time, locking all cases, and being constantly aware of activity in the store.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
  • Experience in the luxury jewelry and watch market is required.
  • Proven track record working with customers.
  • Ability to quickly build trust and rapport with clients and co-workers.
  • Ability to prospect and develop strong customer relationships.
  • Polished, professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Proficiency with Point of Sale (POS) systems and Microsoft Outlook/email.
  • This position requires standing most of the day and good manual dexterity to work with and show small pieces of jewelry.

West Hartford, CT

Watch Refinisher

The Watch Refinisher is a full-time position in our Watch Repair Center responsible for watch case and bracelet refinishing, cleaning, breakdown, and disassembly following the guidelines set forth by the Watchmakers. Lux Bond & Green’s watch laboratory is fully certified with equipment endorsed by Rolex and other high-end watch brands.

This is an hourly paid position scheduled for Monday through Friday from 8:30 am to 5:15 pm with a 45-minute unpaid meal break. The ideal candidate must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where there is a constant flow of work requiring a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES/ACTIVITIES:
Watch case and bracelet refinishing, cleaning, complete breakdown, and disassembly including:
· Assessment of condition of watch materials and parts
· Analysis of damage to components and best path of service
· Re-application of original factory finishes
· Detail-focused reassembly of watch cases and bracelets
· Conducts testing programs to establish the integrity of watch cases
· Quality control and final preparation of newly serviced refinished materials preceding submission to service leads
· Performance of all services carried out in accordance with techniques and standards specified by the manufacturer’s stated procedures and under supervision of workshop management

Additional responsibilities include:
· Contribute to the safe, efficient workshop environment
· Maintain proper use of provided personal protective equipment through the workday
· Accountable for maintaining a clean, well-ordered work area
· Regular inspection of functional service equipment
· Tracking of job-related consumable items for inventory replenishment
· Report any concerns of workplace hazards to supervisors
· Comply with all health and safety working requirements
· Back up to the Watch Lab Administrator
· Assist with cell and seals and other needs of the department at the discretion of the manager

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Verifiable experience (Minimum 5 years) as a polisher, refinisher, jeweler, watchmaker, or silversmith
- Prior familiarity in metal finishing and plating
- Experienced in mechanics/micromechanics
- Outstanding manual dexterity coupled with an eye for extremely fine, detailed features

EQUIPMENT USED:
Full complement of equipment normally found in watch repair facilities, e.g., timing, refinishing, cleaning, and pressure testing machines.

West Hartford, CT

Watchmaker

The Watchmaker is a full-time position responsible for the assessment and handling of watch repairs, working closely with associates in the Service Department in West Hartford and branch stores.

The primary responsibility of the Watchmaker is serving the customer through the execution and oversight of precise, effective, and efficient repair of watches, whether addressed in-house or delegated to a vendor. The Watchmaker must be qualified and prepared to handle daily watch repairs on timepieces of various ages, brands, features, and values. High-end manufacturers, including but not limited to Rolex—with whom the store’s repair facility is certified and endorsed—represent the tier of product our service center is proud to support.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES/ACTIVITIES:
· Independently orchestrate watch diagnosis, repairs, and limited restorative measures on all brands and models suited for in-house service
· Ensure reasonable lead times without compromising high-quality work, meeting, or exceeding customer expectations
· Restore original finishes to casework, bracelets, and dials while preserving the components' integrity
· Continuously evaluate work processes, voice recommendations for improvement, and adapt to new protocols as needed
· Track assigned work diligently and maintain accurate inventory records for all goods and materials
· Provide pricing estimates and projected completion dates for customer inquiries
· Collaborate with service administrators and store management effectively
· Act as a liaison with factory service centers and trade shops when necessary
· Perform tasks to maintain good standing with industry partners
· Demonstrate a commitment to continued education as a Watchmaker throughout employment
· Participate in training sales staff and service administrators to understand the scope of work possible in-house
· Work with management to maintain accurate pricing strategies for various repairs and restorations
· Directly assist customers on complex repair issues or sales of high-end watches as needed
· Communicate regularly with the Watch Lab Administrator to ensure timely and accurate updates for vendors, customers, and stores

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- High school diploma required
- Extensive technical knowledge of watch repair with practical daily application
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in a fast-paced, high-end watch repair environment
- Factory training in Rolex strongly preferred
- Service operations knowledge preferred
- Willingness to travel within the USA or abroad for advanced industry training (at LBG’s expense)
- Certification from an accredited watchmaking school such as WOSTEP/SAWTA/CW21/LWT (Lititz Watch Technicum) Diploma

EQUIPMENT USED:
Full complement of standard horological equipment found in watch repair facilities, including timing, refinishing, cleaning, and pressure testing machines.
