Assistant Store Manager
We are currently seeking an Assistant Store Manager for our flagship store located in West Hartford, CT. The Assistant Store Manager is a full-time position responsible for opening, closing, and the daily operation of the store in conjunction with the Store Manager. The Assistant Store Manager assists with applying all policies and procedures related to daily store operations, spends the majority of the day on the selling floor, possesses exceptional jewelry and watch knowledge, and addresses customer and staff concerns. The Assistant Store Manager contributes to the overall sales and profitability of the store, demonstrates strong security awareness, and helps maintain inventory control. As a member of management reporting to the Store Manager, the Assistant Store Manager serves as a role model for exceptional customer service and represents Lux Bond & Green's Mission Statement, Core Values, goals, and objectives. The Store Manager and Assistant Store Manager are expected to maintain clear and open communication with all corporate departments and serve as a voice for the store in communicating the needs of the store and staff.
Major Responsibilities:- Sales & Customer Service: Handle all aspects of selling in a professional and highly productive manner while embracing and applying Lux Bond & Green's core values of Respect, Integrity, Communication, Confidentiality, and Teamwork in every interaction.
- Complete all sales and service documentation and related responsibilities, including gift wrapping, shipping, special orders, thank-you notes, and other client follow-up, in a timely and accurate manner.

- Security: Ensure all security procedures are followed daily, including maintaining proper sales floor coverage, showing one piece of merchandise at a time, securing all display cases, and remaining alert to activity throughout the store.
- Keyholder: Open and close the store as needed and complete all POS and sales posting requirements associated with opening and closing, including counting and balancing registers and petty cash.
- Communicate with the alarm company regarding alarm issues or after-hours alarm calls and follow all company and alarm procedures.
- Service/Repair: Perform basic service procedures, such as sizing watch bracelet links and changing watch batteries, to facilitate sales and provide superior customer service.
- Understand and assist with the intake of repairs, including inspecting merchandise for existing damage, using the repair system, and preparing merchandise for shipment to outside repair facilities.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a luxury retail sales environment, preferably in jewelry and/or watches.
- Demonstrated experience managing, coaching, and motivating people.
- Proficiency with Point of Sale systems and basic Microsoft Office applications.

The Bench Jeweler is a full-time position responsible for performing both basic and advanced jewelry repair, restoration, and stone setting. This role provides exceptional customer service through high-quality, cost-effective in-house repairs. The Bench Jeweler must be proficient in repairing and restoring both high-end and everyday jewelry, working with all precious metals, including gold, silver, and platinum, as well as precious and semi-precious gemstones.
Major Responsibilities:- Perform basic and advanced jewelry repairs and restorations on customer-owned jewelry.
- Work with all types of precious metals, including gold, silver, and platinum, as well as precious and semi-precious gemstones.
- Perform stone setting on a variety of jewelry, including intricate and custom settings.
- Evaluate incoming repair jobs to determine condition, required materials, and appropriate repair methods.
- Assist with custom jewelry design solutions and creative repair techniques to meet customer needs.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workshop environment.
- Effectively manage, prioritize, and document assigned repair work.

Service Coordinator | West Hartford
The Service Coordinator is an integral part of our Service/Repair team in the West Hartford store. This position involves a great deal of customer contact and requires strong organizational skills and attention to detail when taking in and tracking jewelry and watch repairs.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES/ACTIVITIES:
- Working directly with customers at the service counter to process incoming jewelry, watches, and other repair items.
- Assisting customers with the pick-up and sale of repair goods. Quality control finished jobs and contact customers when jobs are completed.
- Advising customers on all incoming jewelry and watch repairs, providing close attention to condition issues, item descriptions, etc.
- Processing transactions through the Adaptive system.
- Handling minor on-site repairs such as watch sizing and battery replacement.
- Working closely with outside vendors and manufacturers and processing outgoing work to them as needed.
- Fielding incoming inquiries from customers via phone and email.
- Any other duties assigned by supervisors. Minimum Requirements:
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook), with accurate typing and keyboard skills for processing customer transactions.
- Outstanding customer service skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
