Oris Aquis Date 'Kelp Forest'

It’s a great joy to return to the oceans and introduce the Oris Kelp Forest Limited Edition. This 1,000-piece version of the Aquis Date 41.50 mm is the next chapter in our decades-long mission to conserve marine ecosystems and raise awareness of the role the world’s oceans play in helping to mitigate climate change. The new watch shares its basic architecture with our high-performance Aquis Date 41.50mm dive watch. But the story of this particular watch is in its dial. To create an effect that echoes the languid beauty of kelp as it sways in underwater currents, we 3D-printed a surface finish that gives it both texture and the green and gold color variation found in kelp forests. This theme continues in the golden outline applied to the lumed hands and hour markers. As it catches the light, the dial appears to move as if submerged in water, a dazzling effect. The Kelp Forest Limited Edition’s case is in stainless steel and water resistant to 30 bar (300 metres). This is complemented by a uni-directional rotating bezel with a green ceramic insert and minutes scale for timing dives, as well as a screw-in security crown with protection. It sits on an elegantly tapered stainless steel three-link bracelet with brushed and polished surfaces. For ease-of-use, the folding clasp is equipped with quick adjust and quick change systems.
